Model no: D6206. Designed by Harry Fenton. Issued 1947 - 1953.

The beefeater is wearing a scarlet tunic, white ruff and black hat, decorated with a blue red and white band. The handle is red , with an embossed crown, thistle, rose and shamrock and 'GR' cypher.

Green printed Royal Doulton mark and Type A backstamp, with "Beefeaters",the plural form indicating an early piece.

From the Characters from Literature series, this large character jug depicts Don Quixote in armoured head dress, with the visor up. His robes are dark green and burgundy. The handle is in the shape of a white feather with a shild at the basel.
